Already keeping Momma on her toes...

So, Knox already has me on constant alert.

Last week, he started sitting up on his own from lying down, which was quickly followed by pulling up in his crib (obviously freaking me out!).
I mean, he's only 6 1/2 months old, for Pete's sake!!!  He's continued to try and pull up on any and everything, constantly bumping his noggin.  I guess it's just the first of multiple bumps, I'm sure.

Keith and I have been thinking for a little over a month that Knox would be crawling any day because of how upset he gets when he gets in crawling position and goes nowhere.  Well today, I think he finally figured it out but didn't realize it.  He would crawl 2-3 paces, then sit up.  He's not fussing quite as often, probably due to the fact that he's getting to where he wants to go.  I'm excited that I have this genius baby, but at the same time I don't want to rush him through his infancy.  My mom keeps telling me that when babies are more advanced than normal, they are making way for the next child.  I assure her at each mentioning that #2 won't be here until Knox is on his way to being
potty trained--well, at least that's the plan for now.

Knox has also figured out how to hold his bottle a little better and actually hold it up, for the most part.  He still gets a little perturbed when he can't get it in the correct position, as he does with most other things that he can't get done himself.  I'm still a little concerned that Knox isn't
babbling as much I think he should, but maybe it's a good thing that he's not talking my ear of already--or maybe he just can't get a word in edgewise--hmm.

We've had fun at Ma Jack's and Big Daddy's.  Knox has taken his first swim at the Hartley's, where I had my first swim, and thoroughly enjoyed himself.  I wasn't able to witness that, as I wasn't able to witness the first time my son was on a horse or four-wheeler with his Granddaddy Rogers, but I'm thankful for cameras to capture it forever.  I can't wait to see him in the ocean in a few weeks, so I'll have to
fill you in on that later.
